Provision of data

As a rule, there is no legal or contractual requirement to provide personal data in order to use our website.

Data transfer to third countries

The transfer of personal data to such third countries takes place on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR), via standard contractual clauses with the respective provider and with the USA via the Data Privacy Framework (DPF).

Legal basis for processing

The legal basis for data processing is Article 6 (1) (f) DSGVO:  Legitimate Interest. Additional legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO if the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. For all other processing, we obtain consent from the user and data is processed on the legal basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO.

Website hosting


Each time our website is accessed, the user's browser transmits various data. For the duration of the visit to the website, the following data are processed and stored in log files even after the connection has ended:
  • Browser type and version used
  • Operating system
  • Pages and files accessed
  • Date and time of access
  • Provider of the user
  • IP address in anonymised form
  • Referrer URL
The processing of this data is necessary in order to be able to deliver the website to the user and to optimise it for the user's terminal device. The storage in log files serves to improve the security of our website (e.g. protection against DDOS attacks). IP addresses are anonymised before being stored in log files. Log files are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Cookies


Cookies are small text files that contain certain information and are stored on the user's terminal device. In most cases, this is an identification number that is assigned to a terminal device (cookie ID). In the event of contact being made, we process the user's details, date and time for the purpose of processing the enquiry, including any queries. The data is deleted as soon as the enquiry, including any queries, has been answered. We check at regular intervals, but at least every two years, whether data accrued in connection with contacting us is to be deleted.

YouTube with extended data protection

This website embeds videos from the YouTube website. The operator of the website is Google Ireland Limited („Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
